‘Family Jewels’ Star Hints on Another Reality Series
At present, Gene Simmons stars on A&E's Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Soon however, the 58-year-old rocker might be branching out on yet another reality series. Word on the street is that a Kiss-themed competition series is already in the works, which is reportedly an attempt to replace the legendary group's band members.
Simmons, who co-founded Kiss in the early 1970s, is known as “The Demon,” the blood-spitting and tongue-wagging persona in the hard rock band. In an interview with Norway's NRK channel, Simmons hinted on controversial issue.

At 58, legendary rocker Gene Simmons has managed to keep himself busy with his work on his reality series Gene Simmons Family Jewels, as well as his duties as bassist and vocalist to the band Kiss. ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ To Feature Behind-the-Scenes Footage of ‘Detroit Metal City’
In case you haven't heard, Gene Simmons, co-founder of rock band Kiss and star of the reality series Gene Simmons Family Jewels, will be appearing in Toshio Li's live-action film adaptation of Kiminori Wakasugi's Detroit Metal City manga. Quite fittingly, Simmons plays the "Demon God of Rock and Roll," which coincidentally rings a bell to his real-life onstage persona nickname, “The Demon.”
For those who are not familiar, Detroit Metal City is about a death metal band that has gained immense popularity in the indie scene. The main character, Negichi Souchi, is a push-over who is trying to make a living in the music world, despite that fact that he never envisioned himself to be in such a band. Moreover, the rock parody manga has also served as the inspiration behind Simmons' band's signature white-and-black face corpse paint look, as well as the hit song "Detroit Rock City."

Gene Simmons Family Jewels: Gene Performs Solo in Tonight’s Episode
Previously on Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Gene Simmons decided to accept an offer to perform on a Las Vegas show with big band Royal Crown Revue. Noisy neighbors and longtime partner Shannon Tweed's home improvement spree made it impossible for him to concentrate on his new material. He decided to drive to Las Vegas for a few hours of solitude. However, Shannon's do-it-yourself skills were not up to par, resulting in Gene's car breaking down in the desert and a faulty pipe bursting at home, flooding his office of priceless Kiss collectables. In the desert, Gene met an odd cast of characters and attempted to hitchhike to Vegas in time for his show, while Shannon went around L.A. to replace Gene's ruined collectables by buying them from the Kiss fans that have given Gene their hard earned cash over the years.

Former Playboy Playmate Tweed has happily lived with Simmons since 1985. Gene Simmons Family Jewels: Gene Loses Dog on Show
Gene Simmons, co-founder of legendary rock band Kiss, was nearly in tears when he lost his beloved dog Snippy on the reality series Gene Simmons Family Jewels. The infamous rock star reportedly lost the pooch, which was collected from a vet after having an operation to repair a broken leg earlier in the episode, when the front gate of his Los Angeles mansion was left open during the filming of the reality show.
Simmons, 58, immediately conducted a search around the local neighborhood but to no avail. The Simmons family then retired back to the house to call a pet rescue expert. In a desperate attempt, Simmons got in a helicopter with the pet rescue expert in the hope to find Snippy.

The media has been relentless in their pursuit of celebrities in recent times, but this did not stop KISS frontman Gene Simmons from welcoming cameras into his home to shoot the now highly-followed A&E reality series, Gene Simmons Family Jewels.
“He didn't think long or hard,” Shannon Tweed said of her long-time partner's decision to appear in a reality show in an interview with eCentral. “He said, ‘Come on in.' It made me want to hang myself.”
