Kiss Trading Cards For Sale
In 1976, the very first official KISS trading cards were released on a perforated sheet that was inserted in the LP release of The Originals. The 6 cards could be punched out on the U.S. released insert, but the Japanese released sheet was not perforated at all. Although The Originals contained the very first official KISS cards, the 66 card set released by Donruss must be considered as the very first official KISS trading card set. 12 of the cards contained biography information on the backs while the remaining 54 card backs made up a KISS poster. The Donruss S1 sets were also re-released in Australia & Argentina with some significant changes. Also released in 1978 by Donruss was the Series 2 follow-up card set. Continuing directly on from the Series 1 set, the kiss cards were numbered from 67 - 132. In this set there was no information on the backs, but all cards made up 2 mini Kiss posters, one being a live band shot & the other a reversed shot of the Series 1 poster but a further back shot to include their full band pose on the cubes. Released by Donruss in 1978 was another 66 card Rock Stars Set which featured bands such as Queen, The Baby's, The Village People & of course, KISS. There are 14 KISS cards in the set but you will need another 11 non-KISS cards within the set to complete a KISS poster on the backs.
